Breast augmentation

It is generally known that nowadays medicine allows for modifications of the size of the female breast and adjusting it to the dreams and imaginations of almost every woman. The group of women interested in breast augmentation includes not only those who want to enhance and enlarge a relatively small breast but also those who have lost the shape or size of the breast over the years or as a result of postpartum changes. Another group consists of girls who were born with a significant difference in breast size and would like to achieve symmetric size and shape of both breasts through breast augmentation.

The aim of the surgery is to achieve breast enlargement while simultaneously improving their firmness. The only way to do this is by inserting breast implants. Implants are placed either under the breast gland (more often in mature women) or under the muscle (more often in young women who have not yet given birth).

Placing the implant under the muscle allows for the proper functioning of the breast gland during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Breast augmentation

You can choose implants filled with silicone or saline solution. Silicone-filled implants are safe and do not pose a health risk as long as they are not damaged. If they rupture, silicone can leak into the tissues and act as a foreign body. Such an implant requires surgical removal and replacement with another one.

Saline-filled implants do not pose a problem even if their contents leak, but they also require replacement due to changes in their volume.

The type, size, as well as shape (round or anatomical) are individually selected in consultation with the patient. The placement of the implant is also agreed upon with the patient after presenting the advantages and disadvantages of each method. The size of the implants is individually selected for each patient, as well as the height, width, and projection of the prosthesis, depending on the patient's wishes, anatomical structure of the chest, and biological capabilities of the tissues. We have many types of implants, differing in shape, including so-called anatomical implants with a water drop-shaped profile. Depending on the patient's build and the size of their existing breasts, implants can be placed through an incision made in the fold under the breast, at the border of the areola, or through an incision in the armpit area.

The procedure is performed under general anesthesia. After the procedure, the patient stays in the clinic until the next day, when the drains are removed. Stitches are removed after 7 days. Patients are required to wear a specially fitted bra for a certain period to immobilize the breasts and ensure proper placement of the implants.

Requirements:

Tests: blood group, morphology, coagulation profile, ESR, blood glucose level, electrolyte levels, ECG, chest X-ray.

6 hours of fasting before the procedure.

Good overall health.
